The Grey & Gold Podcast

We don't want to be a show that only talks about the top trends on twitter but this conversation felt like it was one that needed to be had so we dive into the recent Desean Jackson controversy and more.

We listened to Greydon’s song ascension before diving into this episode and talk about the afterlife. Imagine being judged on your skill in your passion. Does that not give your life meaning immediately? If you’re judged for a purpose then there can be no denying that you were put on this planet to fulfill a specific purpose. What’s fascinating is this can play into freewill and predeterminism philosophies too. You can find a passion and pursue it to the point you declare it your church or you could be sent here to fulfill one purpose beyond your control.

Also in typical Grey & Gold fashion we steer into hot button topics—today’s topics include fascism, the confederate flag, and inhumane experiments by totalitarian governments. For reference of the Erykah Badu comment halfway through the show that’s from 2018 so don’t send hate anyone’s way it just fit the conversation. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2018/01/25/pop-star-erykah-badu-says-i-saw-something-good-in-hitler/

We go from music and rhyme theory to the job market for foreign languages vs coding languages. Also who is your favorite UFC fighter and how long have you been watching the sport for? Do you remember the Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz rivalry, cause we cover the 30 for 30 on them.

We had fun with this one going over a range of topics including building an independent platform, why avatar is the greatest television show of all time, how X-men villains would make the best rappers, and Grey’s experience with A&Rs from major labels in the past.

Also, where would you rank charisma on important skills to grow a creative platform? Do you think it’s more important than talent?
