The night of December 28th, 1956 was expected to be a typical Friday night in Chicago. On that night, like most Friday and Saturday nights, Archer Avenue was a hot bed of activity. Movies theaters were packed, while teenage boys drove up and down the strip trying to pick up girls huddle on the frigid sidewalks of cities southwest side.
