  • Ep. 84:How to Develop a Save Yourself Mindset

As a business coach and former life coach, I have encountered many people who have a victim mindset. People who often see the challenges and not opportunities, people who see everything wrong and nothing right in their lives, people who are waiting for others to save them instead of saving themselves.

And no judgment from me, I was one of those people at one point. I didn't have goals or dreams, I thought the world was against me, and I was waiting for something or someone to come and save me. What I realized is that I had to save myself. I had to change my mindset, take different actions, connect with successful people and stay focused on me.

In this episode, I am talking to you. I am talking about how to develop a save yourself mindset and what it takes to not only change your situations in your life but to create the life you want.

You might want to listen to this one twice!

In this episode, I break down 5 ways to develop a "save yourself" mindset.

    1. Understand no one is coming to save you

    2. Develop a save yourself mindset

    3. Get clear about what you really want

    4. Take massive action

    5. Stay focused on your goals and dreams

He also has various celebrating wearing his clothing brand and has worked with some of the most impactful Black leaders in North America.

He created the Beloved and Flowers movements, 2 movements to showcase black empowerment and black love.

In this episode, we sit down and talk about art, leaving your mark in the world, entrepreneurship, overcoming various challenges, following your dreams, and much more.

Here is some of what we talk about in this episode:

[3:37] Like you said, liveable art, I have to use that one. I never realized that everything I create is something that's tangible in different mediums.

[10:51] I think coming back to my first job from graduating from Sheridan was on textile printing, I always been doing T-shirts at a young age, I always thought that that was the thing that for me can actually express myself was to garments.

[13:00] A good friend of mine passed away... And his transition kind of shocked me in a way that something about losing people, you never got a chance to celebrate them. And I thought to myself seeing a funeral, I saw everybody from the community coming to celebrate his life, I thought to myself, This is gonna be my time, I got to do something that I want to do.

[16:24] I don't do the gimmicky kind of designs artwork for people to buy into. I'm not that guy. I'm very thought-provoking and attentive, but my intentions are really what I want to create.

[22:41]  I think I always created this movement from the get go, when I started this Live It Wear It brand. Always wanting to bring the community into that space.

[24:09] I thought the language of beloved was something that people were speaking to. And I thought how can I kind of use it for to my benefit of telling the story on what beloved means.

[33:52] Somehow I'm able to build real tangible relationships with good people and some influential people.

[37:00] There's some things that I am uncomfortable about, but you need to be in the uncomfortable spaces to learn and grow from them.

[44:45] It's like a child walking when they fall you say you gotta get back up...You have to understand your worth and your potential.

  • Ep. 81: 4 Tips for Hero Entrepreneurs to Make More Impact Income and Influence

If you are an entrepreneur you know it is sometimes challenging to stand out. It's difficult to land your ideal clients and make the impact and income you want to make. Getting caught up in all of the noise, what other people are doing, and the newest shiny thing throws entrepreneurs and business owners off track and their attention and focus go elsewhere.

In this episode, Coach Danny Stone shares 4 tips to help entrepreneurs make more impact, income, and influence so that they can create the freedom that they want.

If you are an entrepreneur, business owner or have a side hustle you will want to listen to this episode. Especially if you are a Coach, Consultant, Speaker, or Author.

Here is some of what he mentions in this episode:

[4:32]  You're just job doesn't determine your level of importance. It doesn't matter what type of business you have. Your business doesn't determine your level of importance, you are important. You have an inner champion. Every day that you wake up, you are influencing the lives of other people, your friends, your family, your co-workers, people who are following you on social media. So never devalue or undervalue what you bring to the world.

[7:09] The very first thing that you have to do as an entrepreneur is getting clear about who you serve. Who do you serve? Who are your clients? Who are your ideal clients?

[11:30] Our ideal clients are the people who are where we were years ago.

[12:29] The second thing is, you have to be authentic, be true to who you are, and stay in your own lane.

[13:09] Be authentic and true to who you are. Because your ideal clients will see through that, they'll know that that's not you, they'll know that's not your style, they'll know that's not how you speak, they'll know that's not how you showcase your products, and services. People can see through fakeness, they can see through the pretending. So the best thing to do is to be yourself and stay in your lane.

[15:51] The third thing that you have to learn to do is tell champion stories. Tell champion stories. And what I mean by champion stories are really strategic stories that get into the hearts of your ideal clients.

[16:49] Remember, people, buy based on emotion.

[21:54] The fourth thing is to build meaningful relationships. If you want to have a greater impact, you want to reach more people. If you want to make more money, it's unlike anything else, it's very difficult to do alone. You need to build meaningful relationships.

[23:26] You know, I had to connect with like-minded coaches and transformational speakers. And, and just learn from them, and share what I'm learning. And once I started to do that, once I started to build meaningful relationships, once I started to connect with like-minded people, once I started connecting with people who are going in the same direction I was, it didn't only change my business, but it changed my life.
