Today's film is probably one of the weakest link in our series of exploitation sleaze, a film akin to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, yet clearly inferior on every crucial aspect. It's a shame that there wasn't quite enough for us to talk about. I think the worst part of this experience that it wasn't even in the so-bad-it's-good sweet spot either.

Escape from New York is one of those action films that you don't forget. For me, it's up there with films like The Terminator and The Matrix.

 

...Except it's underrated as hell.
