"The Grit of what Rock N' Roll Is About Is Being In The Trenches" with David Ellefson of Megadeth (Part 2)
The second part of my interview, with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, explores the early days of the band and its evolution. With clear similarities to Metallica during the early 80s, David shares some of his stories and perspective of how Megadeth evolved. In one particular account, David talks about a letter a fan wrote to the band and how this letter possibly changed the trajectory of who Megadeth became.
David shares solid advice for up and coming musicians thinking that being in a band should reward immediate rewards and tons of money. He uses the girls from the band Doll Skin as an example of how he guides them in the right direction in the music industry.
The conversation then transitions to David and his coffee business. David will describe the correlations to starting a coffee company and starting a band.
