Today marks the very first service of The Grove Church and we couldn’t be more grateful for all God has done to bring us here. Pastor Kale kicked off our new series “Can I Be Honest?” with a powerful message about the #1 reason people walk away from the church: hypocrisy. It was a reminder that Jesus calls His church to be holy, honest, and full of both grace and truth.

Today, Pastor Kale shared a standalone message called “Forget the Former Things,” reminding us to stop dwelling on the past and trust that God is doing something new.

As we close one chapter and prepare to launch The Grove Church, this message from Isaiah 43:18–19 challenges us to release old rhythms and regrets so we don’t miss what God is doing right now.

God’s not just making us better, He’s making us new!

Today we had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Brett Johnson as we continued our journey through Hebrews. He reminded us that Jesus is Better, better than any earthly priest and better than our own striving.

In Hebrews 4, we see Jesus as our Great High Priest who understands our weakness yet was without sin. Because of Him, we can approach God’s throne with confidence, receiving mercy and grace instead of fear and punishment.

In the middle of the chaos and restlessness in our world, Hebrews reminds us of a deeper truth: real peace isn’t found in circumstances, vacations, or achievements, it’s found only in Jesus. When we trust Him, restlessness is replaced with soul-level rest that produces peace.

This Sunday we continued our journey through the book of Hebrews in our series titled, Jesus Is Better. In Hebrews 2, we’re given commands and warnings that call us to wake up, pay attention, and not drift away from the truth of the Gospel.

What voices are you listening to? What keeps you from paying attention to Jesus? Today’s message is a reminder of the urgency of faith and the hope we have because Jesus has already defeated death so that we can truly live.

This morning we launched a brand-new series titled Jesus is Better. We will be walking through the book of Hebrews, a unique and powerful book in the New Testament. Hebrews opens not like a letter, but like a sermon. And right from the start, the author makes one bold claim: Jesus is better. Better than the prophets, better than priests, better than religion, and in this first chapter, better than the angels.

The message is clear: nothing and no one is greater than Jesus.

So the question for us today is, what do we value as equal to or greater than Him?

Join us as we walk through Hebrews together and discover why there’s nothing and no one greater than Jesus.

This Sunday we continued our series The Discipleship Game Plan, looking at at the opponent of discipleship. Scripture makes it clear: Satan is real, and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. His primary battlefield is our minds. Filling us with lies, doubt, shame, and discouragement. But God has given us His truth to fight back, reminding us that we are loved, cared for, and part of His good plan.

Week 3 of The Discipleship Game Plan! This week we dug into the strategy of discipleship. Jesus didn’t just give us a mission, He gave us a strategy to accomplish it that should be intentional, relational, and reproducible. Discipleship doesn’t happen by accident; it happens when we invest in people, walk with them through the mess of life, and multiply disciples who make disciples.

This Sunday we continued our series The Discipleship Game Plan! In week two, Pastor Kale walked us through how disciples train. With direction, discipline, and diligence. Just like athletes prepare with intentional practice, followers of Jesus grow by knowing their goal, committing to spiritual training (especially daily engagement with Scripture), and persevering over time for the sake of inspiring others toward faith.

It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress that points people to Jesus.
