Kathy DiCocco is determined to honor her son’s legacy. Her late son football coach Frank DiCocco wrote the R.E.A.L. Man character program which is being taught to thousands of boys and girls in middle schools, high schools, colleges, and camps throughout the U.S. and beyond. The lesson plans and discussion questions are all a coach or educator needs to teach 21 character traits. Coach DiCocco also founded the H.O.P.E. Foundation for a Better Tomorrow to give scholarships to at risk youth. DiCocco is now serving as the Executive Director for the H.O.P.E. Foundation. She joined me this week to discuss how the foundation is developing character in young men and women through the R.E.A.L. Man program, comprehensive lesson plans for youth and she honors her son everyday.
