Marie-Louise Eta has made history as the first female head coach in the men's Bundesliga after being appointed by Union Berlin on April 12, 2026.
The 34-year-old takes over as interim head coach for the final five matches of the season following the dismissal of Steffen Baumgart. Her primary mission is to secure Union Berlin's survival in the top flight, as the club currently sits in 11th place, just seven points clear of the relegation zone.
