He has been at it since the mid 80s  and is not stopping anytime soon. He has done it all pushing the scene positively through his riding, organising events, attending jams and contests, and of course the highly influencial Diversion Video Series.

Growing up in the 80's British BMX scene with healthy doses of UKBFA BMX comps, our guest caught an early interest in show business and chose that as a career. His bike took him around the world working for the likes of Cirque du Soleil, Costa cruises and variety shows. A few years back, he settled in Hungary and in search of an indoor spot, decided to open a flatland school and in turn worked with the Hungarian cycling federation to help the next generation of shredders. We talk practice, consistency, progression, injuries, earning money through your passion, coaching, federation support, the olympics dream, how to grow our sport and so much more.

Retired from riding contests, He is now a judge, works with Kotaro at Motel works and at the flatland school. For this episode, I sat down with 22 years old Japanese shredder taking the contest scene by storm. He is the 2023 pro flatland champion and currently sitting in 3rd place in this year's ranking. He calls Moto Sasaki his mentor. Rides both front and backwheel. Does a whole bunch of crazy jumps. He is a ball of energy and yet shows a high level of maturity. A fixture of the Euro scene, he is also attending most of the World cups events. Working part time, riding full time. If there is one event you do not want to miss on the Flatland BMX calendar, it is One Love Jam!  Held every January during the Martin Luther King long weekend in Newport Beach California, it attracts every generation of riders from near and far.  All eager to escape the dreadful winter and shred a cool spot on the beach with the homies. I asked long time organiser Darin Wright a few questions about the jam and proceeded to ask a few fellow riders why they like it so much. Enjoy!
