BLKS, by poet and playwright Aziza Barnes, follows three twentysomething black women wrestling with love, uncomfortable truths, and the anguish of adulting in New York City. Caroline and Katie talk about the play’s take on modern romance and cultural tensions, and you’ll even get a little tid bit from Caroline on local DC Theater!

As two young women who often toy with the idea of starting their own creative company, Caroline and Ashley still struggle to take that initial leap. After attending the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA)'s FRESH TALK: Women in the Creative Economy, hear how they felt empowered by hearing from other women who have taken that leap of faith...and succeeded!
