Trust Systems, Not Emotions
What would I tell the younger version of myself if I could call him?
In this episode, I actually try it.
I use a phone as a time machine to talk to my past and future creative selves about something I'm learning right now: I can't rely on how I feel to determine whether I create. I need systems.
I talk about why I used to think structure would take the fun out of creativity, how a lack of systems has affected projects I've worked on over the years, and what I'm doing differently now as I work on something much bigger. I'm organizing ideas, learning new skills, building storyboards, experimenting with green screen and animation, and trying to create a process that helps me bring what's in my head to life.
