The Harbor

Emotions are a gift from God. They emerge from what we believe to be true, which is not necessarily the whole truth. How can we cultivate healthy emotions and do away with the unhealthy ones? Senior Pastor Rick Baldwin explains how in "Emotional Optimism".

In this message, Senior Pastor Rick Baldwin talks about the next steps in his planned retirement and tells us who will replace him. It's an announcement you don't want to miss!

But rather than leave it right there, Rick teaches us how to cope with change, good, bad, mixed, and the kind that causes great anxiety. We all have to handle change at sometime. God's Word will show you how to not let it handle you.

There is a BIG difference between living for the kingdom of the world which is temporary, and living for the kingdom of God which is eternal. Watch this message by Teaching Pastor Weston Savell to see what those differences are. If you have not been living entirely for God's kingdom, this New Year is a beautiful time for a fresh start.

How is worth calculated? The worth of anything depends on what someone is willing to pay or do for it. There may be many who value you. Make sure you don't settle for any less than your true worth!

Listen to this message "The Soul Felt Its Worth" from the series O Holy Night by Senior Pastor Rick Baldwin to see how valuable you are to Jesus!

Have you ever longed for something? Not just wanted it, but truly ached for it? Or maybe you were very hungry, or had a bad headache. And how did it feel when what you needed came...the relief, the joy, the feeling of rescue from the depths of pain or sorrow. This was the world before Jesus' birth, in sin and error pining..."Till He Appeared"!  Watch this message and see what His appearance meant for the people of Israel and what it means for us today.

To fully appreciate our salvation, we need to understand what we've been saved from. Watch this first message from the series O Holy Night to see the depth of sin and error our world was in and the light and hope the world was pining for before Jesus was born.

Our lives seem so long, but they really are not, especially as compared to eternity. And when it is over, what will be remembered of you? The really important question is, "What would your epitaph say if God was writing it?" Will it say, "He was a really good man, but..."? "She surrendered her life to God, but..."? What is the "but" in your life, the thing that you are holding on to that you don't want to surrender to God? And what rewards will that "but" keep you from, both here on earth and in heaven for eternity?

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 (NLT) But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

Applause is fuel. It lets us know we are on the right path toward a goal. As children of God, our goal is to please God, to hear His applause. When we do we know we are on the right path. But how do we please God? Hebrews 11:6a tells us "And it is impossible to please God without faith." Watch to see the five steps of faith that will lead you to Hearing God's Applause.
