February 03, 2025Exposed: The Power of MarriageThe teaching of Jesus on marriage in Matthew 19 was so clear, so controversial, and so countercultural—His standard for marriage was so high—that even His own disciples, upon hearing Jesus’ teaching and expectations on marriage responded, “If this is the case, it is better not to marry!” (Matthew 19:10) In this message, we address one of the most sensitive subjects in the Church—marriage, divorce, and remarriage. But Jesus wasn't focused on the problem of divorce—He was focused on the power that’s available in marriage. A perfect marriage will never exist—but praise God, one full of power does.Blog Post: https://www.theharbor.life/blog/2025/02/02/the-power-of-marriage-more-than-we-imaginedMessage Notes: https://notes.subsplash.com/fill-in/view?page=ryAhPhYd1eDiscussion Questions: https://storage2.snappages.site/PJBKS3/assets/files/Exposed-4.pdf_____________________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more37minPlay
January 27, 2025Exposed: The Purpose of MarriageThe primary purpose of marriage—according to God through the Apostle Paul—is not to solve our loneliness. It’s not to fulfill some romantic need or desire. It’s not to complete me, and it's not to “find the one". None of those things are bad. Marriage can provide companionship. There is and can definitely be romance and sexual fulfillment. But while those things might be by-products of a good and healthy marriage, they all fall woefully short of fulfilling the purpose of marriage. The practice of marriage without pursuing the purpose of marriage will always feel incomplete. Watch/listen as Pastor Jeff Maness explains why and how to keep that from happening in your marriage.Blog Post: https://www.theharbor.life/blog/2025/01/26/the-purpose-of-marriageMessage Notes: https://notes.subsplash.com/fill-in/view?page=SJf3Wmgu1xSmall Group Discussion Questions: https://storage2.snappages.site/PJBKS3/assets/files/Exposed-3.pdf_______________________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more40minPlay
January 19, 2025Exposed: Celebrating SinglenessSingleness is not a season to endure. It’s not something to simply wait out until something better comes along. Singleness can actually be that “something better.” It’s a status to celebrate. What is there to celebrate about singleness? Watch/listen to this message by Senior Pastor Jeff Maness to find out.Blog Post: https://www.theharbor.life/blog/2025/01/19/celebrating-singlenessMessage Notes: https://notes.subsplash.com/fill-in/view?page=SJeZQvuvJeSmall Group Discussion Questions: https://storage2.snappages.site/PJBKS3/assets/files/Exposed-2.pdf_______________________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more34minPlay
January 13, 2025Exposed: A Single FocusMost of us grew up being taught that somewhere out there in the world is one person—we actually call them “the one”—just waiting for me to find them, to “be mine,” love me, kiss me, and be my soul mate. Until I do—until I find “the one”—I will be incomplete. Unfulfilled. I won’t be whole. But have we been focusing on the wrong thing? Watch/listen to the first message of the series, Exposed: Revealing God's Purpose for Relationship to find out what our true focus should be.Message Notes: https://notes.subsplash.com/fill-in/view?page=B1s5qpaIJxSmall Group Discussion Questions: https://storage2.snappages.site/PJBKS3/assets/files/Exposed-1-pdf.pdfBlog Post: https://www.theharbor.life/blog/2025/01/12/a-single-focus_______________________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more37minPlay
January 06, 2025Why Should I Trust God?Trust. It’s such a simple word yet carries profound weight. Who do you trust completely? Maybe you struggle to answer that question, especially if life has taught you that trust can be broken by those closest to you—friends, family, colleagues, or even yourself. But what about God? If He asked, “Do you trust me?” how would you respond? The truth is, trust in God can feel challenging, even for those of us who already believe. We may trust Him with our eternal souls yet hesitate to trust Him with our earthly circumstances. If you’ve ever felt this tension, know you’re not alone. December 15, 2024The Message From The Manger: Strength in SubmissionAt Christmas we celebrate that our omnipresent God entered into space and time as a baby. The Creator – who spoke the world into existence with the breath of His mouth – becomes part of His own creation. The all-powerful, sovereign, and in-control God becomes a helpless child with no control or ability at all, completely dependent on beings He created. Talk about submission! The message of the manger is a message of submission. But Christlike submission is not a sign of weakness; it is a show of strength. Christlike submission is a voluntary attitude of giving in, cooperating, assuming responsibility, and carrying a burden, all of which takes great strength. Watch/listen to this message as Pastor Jeff Maness answers the question, "What kind of submission did Jesus display?"Pastor Jeff's Message Notes are here: https://notes.subsplash.com/fill-in/view?page=ByNtsdq4yeSmall Group Discussion Questions: https://storage2.snappages.site/PJBKS3/assets/files/MFTM-2.pdf________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more35minPlay
December 08, 2024The Message From The Manger: God is in ControlThis Message From The Manger is a message of sovereignty. Sovereignty means supreme power or authority. In theological terms, it refers to God’s absolute authority and control over all creation. God is never out of control, lacking control, or needing to take control. At all times – and through all things – God has ultimate power and authority over everything that happens. God is in control! Watch this message to see what this really means and how it can cause hurt and doubt in some while bolstering great faith in others.Click here for Pastor Jeff's Message Notes.Click here for the Small Group Discussion Questions.________________________________________________________________________Subscribe so you don't miss a thing!Christian Copyright Solutions (CCS, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC)License: #14753Find us on:YouTube: YouTube.com/TheHarborInstagram: Instagram.com/TheHarbor_lifeFacebook: Facebook.com/TheHarbordotlifeWebsite: https://www.TheHarbor.lifeWatch/listen on The Harbor AppNew episode every week!...more28minPlay
