It's been many years since I talked with Mike. Last time we saw each other was one his bands shows in Philly upstairs of a bar that looked like a living room converted to a venue, usual for Philly. Today we talk about our punk records and how they shaped our youth growing up together. Enjoy!

Dean! I love being able to describe music that I love and hearing other people describe it from their different experiences is such a joy. It means a lot when he tells me I turned him onto some bands. Dean and talk records of course and being old nowadays. Starting to make me think we should set up a buddy system to get each other out to shows. Talking to your friends as you get older helps you remember all those good times you had.

Speaking with Rob Again! Being able to listen to music with a clear mind in my older years. I still go to shows. By myself. I'll talk to whoever I can and anyone who will listen. This life lives on, don't give up on it, get out to shows, feel it again with everyone you can. Start bands, labels, share new bands, get talking and connecting again and again. I rest my heart into yours.

 When we get to talk about the music we love and what it means to us to have been a part of the scene for all these years and tell our stories, it brings great joy to know it has always meant something to each and everyone of us.  As a kid you find this music that hits you in the gut. Next, you exist in this underground scene that is so vibrant and exciting and your youth persists a forward progression and your running into the a wall of death. Then one day you stop and find that the memories we all have are the stories we need to tell.
