 Welcome to Stories Come to Life. I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker. Here is the first of the many adventures of the Hardy boys, a series of books that is, in many ways, a companion series to the Nancy Drew books! For one thing, both series of books were produced by the same book packaging company, the Stratemeyer Syndicate. Here we meet Frank and Joe Hardy, the sons of the famous detective, Fenton Hardy. The boys want very much to become well-known and accomplished detectives just like their father. Surprisingly, a mystery seems to fall right in their laps as they are first almost hit by a speeding car, and then they discover that their friend’s automobile has been stolen by the same fanatic driver. Here is the first episode of The Tower Treasure, featuring the Hardy Boys!
