Welcome to the haven of rock podcast, we got a great episode! Today we have an up and coming hair metal band from Harrisburg South Dakota and they are the Down boys.
What I like about this band is that they’re young! These guys are on high school. For a band that is playing hair metal and from high school... That's pretty badass. When I was in High School I was the only rocker guy who was into the bands that these guys were into. I was the only one with long hair up to my chest, Motley Crue and Poison T-shirts, tight pants and leather jackets. None of the kids listened to what I listened to. That just goes to show how specific this genre is, which is why I love that there are younger bands starting to carry the torch of Rock n' Roll. It's one thing to be a fan of the music, but for you to play it live, then you have love it, capture the audience and own your craftsmanship and that is exactly what these guys do!
Welcome to another episode of The Haven of Rock podcast! In this episode I talk about how artists can become overwhelmed having too many project ideas in their mind. Using my own experience as a musician, I discuss how I found the solution to this issue, and how it has impacted my creativity.
Ryan Roxie is mostly known for his role as Alice Cooper's guitarists, but did you know that he also played for many great artists and bands like Slash’s Snakepit, Candy, Electric Angels, Casablanca, Roxie77, Tal Bachman, James Michael and many more. Ryan also has his own Podcast called In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie. Stay tuned as we discuss Ryan's music career and his outlook on his journey.
Thank you for listening! Today Ashish will be joining us to talk about his journey in music, upcoming projects and what let him to become the guitar player he is today. Make sure to follow Ashish on Instagram and his band Black venom. @ashish_r_guitar @blackvenomrocks
So much of us end up creating pieces that we love, and we become attached to them. Being attached to our work creates a scarcity mindset allowing us to think that we are not going to make another piece as good as the last one. The same can be said to a piece of work that we didn't like. The fact that we made something that we didn't like does not make us bad artists. It is just a stepping stone. Listen to this episode so that you can learn to overcome and use detachment to your advantage!
Welcome to another episode of The Haven of Rock Podcast. On this episode I talk about reconnecting with an old friend and allowing life to meet you halfway when it comes to pursuing your goals. If you are new Welcome! I am very exited about this episode. I had different content and ideas to talk in mind, but the way how everything unfolded created the right climate for this episode. Enjoy \m/
