2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall [reap] if we do not lose heart.
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
The God-Given Task
9 What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? 10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-11)
Do you feel like you're "going through the fire" today?
When everything comes against you, oftentimes it's because God has something great in store.
The Bible talks about the three Hebrew Men Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
They refused to bow down to the king's golden idol and so they were sentenced to be burned to death. In fact, the king was so furious that he had the heat turned up seven times hotter than normal.
That's what happens when you're close to a great victory—the fire gets turned up, people start talking about you, and unfair situations come.
Let’s not throw in the towel….we have our hands to the plow. There’s no turning back now.
The harvest is ripe…the Bride is being prepared for the Bridegroom, the 7 seals are be broken, the 7 vials are ready to be poured out, soon…the New Heaven and the New Earth!
Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Story:
Once an older man, was walking the beach at dawn. As he walked, he noticed that the beach was literally covered, as far as the eye could see, with starfish. He also noticed a young boy ahead of him who was picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Catching up with the youth, he asked him what he was doing.
The boy replied, “I am picking these starfish up and throwing them back into the sea so that they do not die.”
“But the beach goes on for miles and miles, and there are millions of starfish,” countered the man. “How can your effort make any difference?”
The boy looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw it to safety in the waves. “It makes a difference to this one,” he said.
So let us remember there are two bodies being harvested. One righteous, the other lawless and unrighteous. The righteous will be bearing fruit reflecting the nature of God, the other bearing the fruit of a lawless nature indulging in worldly pleasures and the works of the flesh.
That is why Matthew 22:14 tells us,
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroomftarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are ||gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
