The Hawkeye Huddle

March madness is here!

A huge disappointing head scratcher in Happy Valley has the Men's basketball team scrambling. But the Women's team pushes on with two wins and secures the #2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Also men's and women's wrestling updates along with baseball and softball talk.

As February closes, seeding for the post-season becomes the focus in basketball. The wrestling squad is still struggling and may need a coaching change. And baseball is underway.

Good hoops, bad hoops, and ugly hoops along with wrestling and baseball talk this week!!!

With a little under one month to go until March Madness, everything just means more. Fortunately, this year the conversation is about earning better seeds than getting in. The baseball season begins for Iowa this week as well and the wrestlers are still working toward trying to wrap up the year on a high note.

Always a technology adventure, the boys are together at GMigs on phones across the room from each other to bring you analysis of a successful Men's hoops week, a less exciting week on the Women's side, and disappointments in wrestling as well.

The Iowa Women had a huge week and now a date at #2 UCLA looms. The Iowa Men face a must-win week against lesser teams. And the wrestlers are back on track to a point. Plus the new football schedule is out.

Interesting talk about Hawkeye football and IF an "Indiana-like" season could ever take place in Iowa City with same coaching staff. Plenty of good hoops discussion and some wrestling too.

A so-so week in the world of the Iowa Hawkeyes as far as wins and losses go...and what the upcoming week looks like for that matter. Still, lots of positive and interesting football transfer portal talk and breakdowns of everything on tap.

Lots of discussion of the Bowl victory over Vanderbilt and the football transfer portal. Plus, all good for the week on the hoops front. And wrestling is about to get going again in earnest.
