But deep in that culture there is illness that most people are afraid to talk about. It may be the reason things are the way they are. Mental illness in the land of dreams and promises.</p>

Hidden inside the culture

<p>The Headbanger show is for those on the other side of the culture. Hip Hop has many secrets in the culture. One is Mental health which isn't talked about. A shadow has been cast on the topic, shine some light on the illness. A lot of the world was built by those with Mental illness. A lot of creations are created by Mental illness. Many don't like to speak on it or are ashamed, feeling like an outcast in a lonely world. But Headbangers are never alone they just need to be among the understanding ones. The show is of the understanding one host Headbanger E. Diagnosed with Mental illness eleven years ago brought on by also being diagnosed with severe epilepsy. but with the right cocktails of medicines, therapy and diet, it is under control. The key is to take your medication as  prescribed, get a good neurologist and have good at home support. The show is to share experiences and the recovery back to good health. Share with Headbanger E. and listen to the still a stigma in the culture and still are ashamed to talk about this subject. There are many types of mental illnesses that affect the everyday life. The show wants to bring this to the forefront and self awareness to the people that suffer from this, why they feel they way they do each day. Today Headbanger E, has a beautiful wife, a house and stable home life to let you know that  "normal" is possible.  There are so many people with Mental illness  that haven't been diagnosed and unfortunately, as in my case, till something happens in public or they hurt themselves or hurt others. So instead of snickering behind someone in your work place or at a family function, keep in mind this person could be suffering from mental illness. If it is a family member, please reach out to those that just need to be understood.
