LaDawn is an executive vice president, chief risk officer at S&T Bank. A seasoned professional with a career-long focus in the heavily regulated financial services industry. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and holds her Certification in Risk Management Assurance. LaDawn has been with S&T Bank since 2009.

As chief risk officer, LaDawn is responsible overseeing S&T’s Enterprise Risk Management Program, Regulatory Compliance, including Consumer Protection and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti- Money Laundering (BSA/AML), Credit Risk Management, Information and Physical Security, and Risk Management Programs including, Appraisal, Model Risk Management, Policy Administration and Vendor Management.

LaDawn was awarded the 2021 PICPA/AICPA Women to Watch Award honoring women that enhance the profession through personal growth and the leadership development of colleagues. LaDawn was also awarded the Champion For Women Award from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association. This award is given to a seasoned professional who, through personal commitment, application and dedication, is invested in the success of others and fosters growth to ensure women maximize their potential. She is also a recipient of the PICPA Southwestern Chapter Volunteer Award for her contributions to the chapter and community. Additionally, LaDawn was honored as one of the PA Business Central’s Women Making a Difference.

The Children’s Home is celebrating National Adoption Month by hosting a Free Fall Harvest Festival. Join our staff, adoptive families, foster families and community as we celebrate on Sunday November 5th from 11am – 2pm.

All are welcome! Our Giving Thanks For Adoption event will be held in the back parking lot of The Children’s Home at 5324 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15224, under a large tent. It will include free food and drinks, crafts, children’s games, door prizes, photo opportunities and meet and greets with princesses and Star Wars characters. Other community resources will also be tabling at the event to provide crafts and local resources to families.

We hope that this family friendly fall event will provide individuals the opportunity to learn more about adoption and foster care while meeting with families who have been through the process.

brain from getting blood and oxygen, causing brain cells to die.

• Stroke is the #5 cause of death in the U.S. and a leading cause of disability.

• Stroke can happen at any age.

• F.A.S.T. stands for F: Face Drooping, A: Arm Weakness, S: Speech Difficulty, T: Time to Call 9-1-1.

• Smoking increases your risk for a stroke by 2 to 4 times.

• Eighty percent of strokes may be prevented by making healthy choices.

• Getting plenty of exercise can reduce your risk for stroke by 25%.

• Most strokes are treatable but calling 9-1-1 right away is important. The quicker a stroke patient

gets help, the better the chance that they can recover with little or no disability.
