  • The Healing Power of Forgiveness
Psychologists generally define forgiveness as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.
Just as important as defining what forgiveness is, though, is understanding what forgiveness is not. Experts who study or teach forgiveness make clear that when you forgive, you do not gloss over or deny the seriousness of an offense against you. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, nor does it mean condoning or excusing offenses. Though forgiveness can help repair a damaged relationship, it doesn’t obligate you to reconcile with the person who harmed you, or release them from legal accountability.
Instead, forgiveness brings the forgiver peace of mind and frees him or her from corrosive anger. While there is some debate over whether true forgiveness requires positive feelings toward the offender, experts agree that it at least involves letting go of deeply held negative feelings. In that way, it empowers you to recognize the pain you suffered without letting that pain define you, enabling you to heal and move on with your life. Join Dr. Darren as together we dive into the healing power of forgiveness.

  • Healthy Grieving ~ The Dance Between Feeling The Pain and Releasing It
Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. Though we often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend, many other significant losses can also trigger grief. Examples include:
The end of a relationshipA move to a new communityA much-anticipated opportunity or life goal is suddenly closed to usThe death of a petSomeone we love contracts a potentially life-threatening illness
Grieving such losses is important because it allows us to ‘free-up’ energy that is bound to the lost person, object, or experience—so that we might re-invest that energy elsewhere. Until we grieve effectively we are likely to find reinvesting difficult; a part of us remains tied to the past.
Grieving is not forgetting. Nor is it drowning in tears. Healthy grieving results in an ability to remember the importance of our loss—but with a newfound sense of peace, rather than searing pain. Join Dr. Darren as he guides us into the Heart of the Matter of the role our subconscious mind plays with Healthy Grieving. Infinite Love & Gratitude!

  • Is it pathetic that I somehow have an irrational fear of letting people love me?
Take 2!!! Because of the glitch it the matrix from last week's show we're going at it again:) Nothing about life or love is irrational or pathetic. Persistence, determination, and discipline combined with a clear vision creates a yellow brick road to authenctic, genuine, reciprocal, yummy, and delicious relationships.
In love and in life our vulnerability is one of our greatest strengths. We often believe that we risk too much by being vulnerable, but, in fact, the opposite is true. When we build a wall around us to protect ourselves from our big, bad fears, we miss out on so much.
When we live with the mindset that something may be taken from us (physically or emotionally), or that we need to be in control of everything that happens, we endure fear on a daily basis. It’s exhausting to live this way. It makes us cynical, suspicious, and unable to follow our hearts because we are afraid of what might happen.
Join Dr. Darren as he dives into the Heart of the Matter of letting love rule!

This show will help us to turn pain into a journey of self-love. Think of your body as a computer in which all information is stored. You (as your mind), are the person operating your computer. Sometimes your computer expresses symptoms of a virus or crashes from too many programs running because you haven't updated your software to the lastest model. Our intention for this Heart of the Matter Show is to use The LifeLine to awaken a new understanding of pain and even more, reprogram the old subconscious programs. Our journey together will reveal the invisible truth of physical pain and as a natural by-product of the process itself,  heal it. Quickly and naturally.
