I've heard it said "if your not getting attacked by the enemy, your probably not doing anything to move the kingdom." spiritual warfare is a real thing and something we need to be on guard for as leaders. Our inner wellbeing is so crucial and important to leading our families.

Phineas intervened on behalf of the Israelites and help stayed a plague, and because of that he was known as a righteous man. We as family men can learn from Phineas, lets unpack it in this episode.

How is character built? In the Heart Based Parenting approach one thing they like to say is character is built in the detour. So often we don't want to take the long route we want to take the quick and short route which is behavior modification. This isn't only in our kids, but its also in us as men, our character is built in the detour.

My wife turned to me the other day after our leading our parenting course at Church and said "Wow, what a difference it makes when a Dad get's it."  Our decision to take ownership IN the home makes a difference, yet more often then naught we let our wives take the front in that department.
