In this episode of the Helion Military History Podcast, Dr Christopher Brice talks to Timothy Manion about his book Why Barbarossa Failed: German and Russia in the Second World War. They discuss the many ways in which Timothy's book challenges the consensus of what we think we know about the German invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941 and why it failed. This well researched book makes great use of both the surviving German and Russian archives to delivery a reappraisal of the invasion.
