I’m coming in hot, hot, hot today!!! 

Today, we’re diving into the juicy topic of self-intimacy. We often think of intimacy with others, but what about intimacy with ourselves? What does that mean?!

Self-intimacy is a state of BEing, not doing! It's about having a deep and genuine connection with yourself, accepting who you are without judgment, and managing and expressing your emotions healthily. It's an ongoing journey of self-discovery and personal growth—a journey of having authority over your life, thoughts, emotions, and decisions!

Remember episode 59? I shared a new perspective on being alone—one that’s empowering and enjoyable. Even in the weirdness and discomfort of being in your own company, you can find FUN! Being present in your own company can be freeing and transform you into who you’re meant to be.

Why is that episode important? It sets the stage for mastering self-intimacy by showing you where you might resist being alone and offering you a perspective shift to see the opportunities your aloneness presents.

So, mastering self-intimacy...

You might still resist being alone, but you’re curious about what more it has to offer. You might doubt you could enjoy your aloneness beyond the surface level you’ve experienced so far. Or you might be afraid to get honest with yourself but have decided to journey towards becoming the lead authority in your own life!

When you grow in self-awareness, fear, doubt, and resistance don’t disappear. Mastering self-intimacy means seeing these feelings and yet choosing YOU [and your new identity] over and over. With this practice, over time, it becomes second nature. It’s who you ARE, how you naturally show up, who you BE!

Let’s talk about things that aren’t often discussed as it relates to the self-intimacy you hold for yourself!

Today, we're diving into the unexpected joys of spending time alone. You might be thinking, "Linda… FUN being alone?! That sounds like a stretch." But hang with me! Before we uncover the fun, let's tackle some internal dialogues you might recognize: "I'm always alone; something must be wrong with me!" or "If only I was in a relationship, I wouldn't be lonely!"

Often, we equate solitude with loneliness, but that's a perspective we're here to change. Choosing to spend time alone isn't about hiding away; it’s about embracing your individuality and prioritizing your well-being. Notice the word here—choosing! When you see aloneness as a choice, not a sentence to loneliness, the fun begins!

Sure, loneliness might pop up, but you have the power to choose your reaction. Disconnect aloneness from loneliness and see it as a chance to focus on yourself, your desires, and your growth. This powerful shift in perspective opens the door to joy and adventure.

Aloneness can be your chance to be the friend you need, to fill your life with adventure and fun. Today’s episode is all about embracing this new perspective. When you see aloneness not as something happening to you but for you, you become your own best friend, full of love and fun.

We’ll discuss how giving others authority over your desires and constantly justifying them can erode your confidence and self-worth. 

The journey to reclaiming your life starts with confidently stating your wants without justification. Practice recognizing when you seek approval and start stating your desires without explanations. Reinforce your desires by simply saying, "I want this because I want it." 

Embrace the hidden version of you, get to know and love your authentic self, and confidently want what you want. Join us to reclaim your desires and live a life that’s truly your own!

Here in the US, we just celebrated a weekend of FREEDOM! Almost 250 years ago, we declared independence from Great Britain, allowing us to live by our core values. Picture fireworks, boating, cookouts, and for me, a hike in the mountains. But above all, we honor our flag and the freedom it symbolizes. You might celebrate your country's freedom in different ways, but the essence is universal.

However you celebrate independence in your country, here's where we come together.

Although a blessing, Freedom isn't just a gift from soldiers or governments, nor is it something to feel just one weekend a year. There is something available to you and fun celebrating 365 days __ and that's INNER freedom!

Inner freedom is just as important as national freedom—both emphasize independence and personal autonomy; the importance of living according to your values and pursuing happiness.

Freedom is about making choices that align with your values and living your life fully. Capture the inner freedom available to you by being HER now!
