His time in Saskatoon was challenging and taught him important lessons. After a successful period in Edmonton, where he had a capable team managing his multi-family assets, returning to his hometown brought unexpected difficulties. The city's economy suffered from the collapse of multiple industries, resulting in a high % vacancy rate of 20% throughout the city.
