  • 747 Why Wait – 7 Reasons Not to Wait (revised)
    Seven Reasons Not to Wait

Written and narrated by Leigh Martinuzzi – Originally Published 20.11.2014

"Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them." William Arthur Ward

If you’re waiting for things to happen in life you may be waiting for a very long time. It is our responsibility to create the change we wish to see, both in ourselves and in the world. No one else will do it for us. The outcomes we desire and the impact we wish to have in the world will come in acting, not in waiting.

    No Rules Leadership

"Life is about making an impact not making an income."

What he didn't realise when starting out was that leadership and time management were integral to his success. He became a student and now shows others how to successfully lead and best manage their time.

I speak to Kevin about his company Lead X - Leadership development for the modern day workforce. Built on the back of Watson, Lead X is an AI-powered leadership development platform that allows leaders to be trained and coached at scale. We discuss why great leaders have no rules and the benefits and implications associated with this and Kevin shares some time-hacks as well. I hope you find value in this interview. Enjoy!

  • 743 Little Moments – Big Meaning, Memories and Joy
    Little Moments

Written and narrated by Leigh Martinuzzi

“Little moments, BIG memories.” Fergus Connolly

It is often the little things in life that give us the greatest meaning and go on to form BIG memories. What do you really appreciate? What things bring you great joy? Is it the moments by the campfire with the family playing charades? The smell of coffee in the morning? A crisp ale in the afternoon while chatting with friends? The experience of heading to the airport ready to board a ship to another place? The sound of gravel under your shoes as you walk?

The big events in life matter however it is often the little things along the way that add up to make our experiences somewhat extraordinary. I remember a time camping with the family that for an entire day it poured with rain. We were all huddled together in a small space under the tarp. It was those moments we shared under that tarp that bought joy and created amazing memories of that trip despite the unruly weather conditions.

We have to hold on to the little moments and to do that we need to be present. Avoid the distractions that draw our attention away from the moment because it is in those moments, that if missed, we may weaken the memories of this life that we experience.

What is the underlying motivation behind everything you do?

In this conversation, I chat to Sam about his book, Be More Pirate, and why it is those that challenge the status-quo are the ones that lead to great change. Including how we can all be a little bit more pirate to shake things up in our personal lives or having a larger impact.
