The word Love is one of the most overused placeholder words in our language. When looking through the scriptures of how Jesus describes God’s love, it seems we often use this word in the wrong way.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer once said, celebrating Advent reminds us that we are “poor and imperfect...and look forward to something greater to come.” It is Joy that helps us look forward.

Jesus is the only way to have peace with God. Wise men and women still seek Him.

During Advent we should slow down from the unmanageable pace this season produces. We should be looking to our true Hope and Peace, the sent King Jesus.

In John 7 Jesus deals with both his family, and stubborn outsiders who all struggle with His identity. In the middle of this context, Jesus make another bold statement.

John 6 displays two types of people that followed after Jesus. Many were seeking things, and others wanted the person.
