It's not unusual for our spiritual lives to stagnate- church becomes ritual and the Bible becomes boring. We wonder, where is the full life Jesus promised? Where is God? In Hebrews, we see that boredom and isolation are not normal to the Christian life. We should be constantly pressing onward to maturity and an active life of Faith.

The culture defines our identity by what you do, while Jesus invites to ground our identity in who we are in Him. In Jesus' encounter with two sisters, we see how a distracted and busy heart can keep you from sitting and knowing Him, but his invitation for us is to rest and be near.

A primary way God has given us to experience the grace, forgiveness, and healing that God offers through The Gospel is through His good gifts of confession, repentance, and living in the light of the Gospel.
