December 19, 2022Support from our Centre for Spiritual and Pastoral Care over ChristmasThe chaplaincy in our hospital Trust has the title of the Centre for Spiritual and Pastoral Care - it is as an all-inclusive centre for support. Every year in the hospital here at Hillingdon we have a feature called the Giving Tree in the Chapel. Predominantly staff, but also members of the public are incredibly generous in bringing items that really are for patients who come into hospital over Christmas and maybe didn't have time to pack a bag or they were rushed into hospital.The Team are there to support staff, patient and visitors who ask for our service. Working closely with the palliative care team, to lend a listening ear to someone who wants to chat, supporting people of any religious background or spiritual background or the non-religious.
