About DayOneNotDayTwo
An artist, activist, and entrepreneur that is DayOneNotDayTwo, he is also an organizer based out of Philly who uses his music and platform to inspire, empower, and transform the community.
DayOneNotDayTwo served 8 years in prison at the age of 17. Since his release about a year ago, he’s been working with the Youth Art & Self Empowerment Project and the statewide Care Not Control Coalition to end youth incarceration in Pennsylvania.
His debut album dropped 2/2/22 and is titled My Father’s Chains. The project consist of 11 songs that illustrate the sociological impacts of the criminal legal system from a perspective of ancestral trauma and healing. My Father’s Chain’s has been integral in initiating conversations about crime, class, and the carceral system, helping to bridge gaps between generations and cultures alike.
