Staff members Mark and Audrey Griggs tell how they came to know Christ and what it was like to grow up in the His Hill community. They also share some of their thoughts on marriage, serving on staff and the importance of being proactive in serving in a local church.

In this short devotion, Kelly answers the question, "what do we mean when we say 'Merry' Christmas"?

How is your heart before the Lord today?  Is it completely His no matter what you may be going through?  Peter Reid who is the General Director of Torchbearers leads us in a study from John 2 whereby we look at the life of Mary starting with the angel Gabriel’s visit all the way to the day of Pentecost.  Peter will point out that this was to be the start of a difficult and painful journey for Mary that would take over 30 years of her life before she would come to realize the full benefit of a heart belonging completely to the Lord.  Is this your assumption of what it looks like for your heart to be completely the Lord’s or do you have other expectations?  I believe this to be a great question to ask ourselves as we prepare to celebrate Christmas.

In preparation for Christmas, former His Hill Director Bill Busshaus presents part 2 of the series we have entitled “Hark”. In guiding us through the second part of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” he will draw from scripture with the intent of explaining what some of the phrases of the Christmas Carol mean like, “Sun of Righteousness” and “mild He lays His Glory by”.  Bill will also speak on the importance of being born again and being indwelt by Christ.

Bill leads us a two-part series using the familiar Christmas Carol, "Hark the Herald Angel's Sing."  He uses the song to springboard a study through scripture, reminding us of God's great blessing and grace toward the whole world through His Son Jesus Christ.  Join us as we look at such things as the timing of Christ’s birth, and the importance of the Virgin birth as well as God coming to us in flesh.

Does truth have to meet your expectation in order for it to be true? Join Kelly as we look at Luke 2:8-20 and find that the "good news of great joy" was not something but Someone, and how this realization should affect us.

There are so many things going on in the world that seek to take the Christian's eyes off of Jesus. We can become fixated or distracted with all these issues and as a result, find ourselves in a place of hopelessness. This is not what God intended for His people. Join Kelly in looking at Col. 1:27 as he reminds us of the "hope" that the believer is to know in Christ.
