The History of Gunpowder are a blistering and mysterious freakout ensemble who blend jazz, blues, art rock, soul, and world music into a progressive and explosive sonic experience. 

Featuring a large cast of some of the best musicians in the Vancouver scene, vocalist/guitarist Alex Morison and company have established themselves as one of the best live acts in Western Canada with their theatrical live shows often featuring burlesque dancers, gymnasts, and performance artists.
