Gamarjoba everyone! Pleasure to have you back here. This is part of our myth series, where we will take a look at different myths of Georgian origin, that involve Georgians, or are just plain old awesome Georgian tales. This time, we'll be talking about Euripides's tragedy, Medea. I'll do a quick retelling, and then we'll have Brendan on to discuss with us!

Gamarjoba everyone! Welcome to Part 2! Here we'll be having a discussion with our Editor: Brendan Foster, about, well many things. The Argonautica for sure, and us going into how it applies to the Georgian identity with a series of tangents as well.

Gamarjoba everyone! Pleasure to have you back here. This is part of our myth series, where we will take a look at different myths of Georgian origin, that involve Georgians, or are just plain old awesome Georgian tales. We begin with Jason and the Argonauts, because it takes place in Colchis. I took the time out and wrote it out in my own style, in a more fast-paced, info filled version. My version of the Argonautica was 140 pages, so I couldn't justify reading all of that to you. Georgian tales will be translated and read out though, since I don't want to lose any info on those.

Hi everyone. Today we'll be discussing Achaemenid rule in the Georgian region. We'll go over what we do know from the sources, which isn't much, and talk about what Xenophon saw as he marched through the region after being hired by Cyrus the Younger. We'll also talk about why Georgia ended up being the border of the Persian empire, and touch base at what architectural influence from the Persians we have in the region.

Hi everyone, thank you for being so patient with this episode. Today, we'll be talking about the origins of Colchis and Iberia, and how the kingdoms got started up, as well as little tidbits of information that wouldn't fit anywhere else really. We'll be talking about a man with a Golden Touch in Asia Minor, pre-Achaemenid rule in the region (they're the next episode), the Greek trading towns along the Black Sea coast, and their relations with the Colchians and other proto-Georgian tribes.

In today's episode, you'll hear me stumble over saying "The Diauehi" multiple times. In all seriousness, we cover the tribal confederations that lead up to the formation of the Kingdoms of Colchis and Iberia, and look at some of the power houses that influenced or interacted with the Mushki and the Diauehi. There's also a little story about God partying with Georgians.
