Homosexuality has been prevalent in humankind since the moment we walked on this earth, but it has taken a long time for society to come to terms with the fact that homosexuality is biological, one does not choose to be gay, they simply are born that way. The United States has a long and terrifying history when it comes to LGBTQ rights. While the LGBTQ community has constantly fought for the simple rights of being treated like human beings, they have been met with backlash at every step.
