The History of the LGBTQ Rights Movement: Part Three.

Listen Later

Welcome to episode three of the LGBTQ right movement, I suggest you go back and listen to the other two episodes before getting into the third. In this episode, I talk about the incredible and stigmatizing effect that the HIV/AIDS crisis had on society. Including a woman named Ruth Coker Burks who in an incredible show of love, faith and kindness took care of men who were on death’s door from AIDS. I also discuss the back and forth laws made about allowing gay people and transgender people to serve in the military. While it’s the 2020’s, the LGBTQ community is still fighting for the basic human rights that they deserve.
