Lionel Samson and his descendants have been involved in mercantile business enterprises back to 1829 with two of his sons and a grandson becoming the mayors of Fremantle.
In fact, there's a building which bears even his name at 33 Cliff St in Fremantle, and the Samson family trust is opening it for public tours on May 7th.
Bill Samson joined us to talk about the families history and share a few interesting facts about William Frederick Samson, one of Lionel's sons.
