Anzo is a South African rapper and vocalist from KwaZulu-Natal, known for his lyrical storytelling and melodic style. He joined Mvelo to reflect on his journey to fame, which began after winning the prestigious Back To The City 10K Challenge in 2015 — a milestone that opened major doors for his career.

That same year, he released his debut album, Indaba Yam, which solidified his presence in the local hip hop scene. Now a member of 1020 Cartel, Anzo has collaborated with heavyweight artists like Sjava and Mzukulu, with standout tracks like Eweni earning widespread acclaim.
