The whole of Ephesians 5 and the first part of 6 is that our existence is to be defined in our imitating God. Paul shows us how this plays itself out in our relationships with one another. The key to imitating God comes through being filled with the Holy Spirit. Only then can our relationships (brothers and sisters in Christ as well as husband and wife) be what God designed them to be.
