After a week of racial emotions, I experienced a rare but beautiful emotion of united voice over the horror of the horrific killing of an African American man. I connected with a stranger on Instagram over a post I put up, and in 24 hours we sat down to record a podcast discussing our different perspectives - me as a black woman living in the UK and her a white Aussie chick across the seas. I call this conversation, Wear My Shoes, because as they say, you have to walk a mile in another’s shoes to gain proper perspective. In one sitting, talking about a very difficult topic, we turned from strangers to friends ; There is hope.
