The worst Australian accent ever
Would you try another book from Cathy Kelly and/or Amy Creighton?
I always enjoy a Cathy Kelly novel. Reliably enjoyable and the story always finishes happily ever after.
Any additional comments?
I nearly stopped listening about 2 hours in , the Australian accent was so so bad. Something crossed between Cornish and I don't know what bla!
Perfect Holiday Reading
I love Cathy Kelly`s books and Amy Creighton is a fabulous narrator who get the accents and intonation so right.
This is a sensitive plot and I enjoyed its poignancy a soft gentle story with sensitive issues so skilfully written
Gentle but quite slow moving
If this book were a film would you go see it?
No - I am almost blind so I can't see.
Any additional comments?
This was a nice story but a bit slow moving for my liking.
Heartwarming
Cathy Kelly never disappoints and Amy Creighton was the perfect narrator for this gentle tale in which love and friendship helps overcome adversity.
There are multiple characters whose lives converge as the book progresses. I found the characters both likeable & believable and each of the storylines equally engrossing. Some threads were tied up just a bit too neatly really but the book as a whole was heartwarming and most enjoyable.
too many characters to keep up with
Any additional comments?
at the beginning I thought this was going to be a really good story but was disappointed. I gave up after chapter four.
