The NBA Draft is a meant to be a time where teams get the chance to select the next possible superstar or 10-year starter out of college or high school.

While some teams stick with their draft position or the player they took with their pick, others tend to get risky and attempt to move up or even trade a player they drafted for a different one on that same night. With such risky circumstances, some teams can strike gold by pulling the ol “switch-a-roo” or they shoot themselves in the foot and miss out on a talented prospect.

In this episode of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys discuss some of the most significant Draft Day trades in NBA history that either help build an NBA powerhouse, influence the future of the league or ruin a “what could have been” super team. What NBA trades do Jay and Ryan think were game changers for the league? Stay Tuned!

When it comes to NBA trades, not all moves are created equal. Some trades are small moves meant to slightly improve your roster and tend to be “low risk, low reward.” Other trades, the ones that involve potential or established superstars are the kind of trades that come with the territory of everything to gain and even more to lose.”

In this episode of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys discuss some of the riskiest, most impactful trades in NBA history that either help build an NBA powerhouse, influence the future of the league or ruin a “what could have been” super team. Looking back at the history of the NBA, the league has had some significant star power drafted in the top five of the NBA Draft. Michael Jordon, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, etc. But for every superstar drafted, there has always been a “bad batch” of guys that get drafted way higher than their talent actually suggests. These players are infamously labeled “busts.”

On this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at some of the league’s biggest busts as they discuss how their careers flopped and what they could have done to changed the way their tenures in the NBA are perceived. Who do think is the biggest bust in NBA history? We’ve got a couple in mind. Stay Tuned!
