This week Victor recommends the TV show Yes, Dear (2000-2006)  a sitcom about two couples and their very different personalities and vibes.

Carlos recommends Abbott Elementary (2021- ) a workplace comedy about a public school in Philadelphia and the ups and downs in the lives of teachers, and the school as a whole.
Carlos also recommends the final season of What We Do in the Shadows (2019-2024). The show, from the universe of the film What We Do in the Shadows, is about a group of vampires in Staten Island and the human familiar Guillermo and their various shenanigans.

Welcome back to the Horror Agenda and today we revisit the work of Carlota Pereda. That's right, this week we're covering the 2020 short, written and directed by Carlota Pereda with cinematography by Rita Noriega, who listeners will know worked with Carlota on Cerdita and Piggy (short and feature).

This episode has a content warning. While the film does not explicitly show sexual assault, it is implied, there is harassment and our discuss veers into discussions of sexual assault and more.

Carlos has two recommendations this week. First he recommends Promising Young Woman (2020) a tough film to watch with a story about a young woman getting revenge for her friend who was sexually assaulted...lots of discussion of assault, victim blaming, and more.
Carlos' second recommendation is the song You Are the Problem Here by First Aid Kit a song with themes relevant to the #MeToo movement, both There Will be Monsters and Promising Young Woman.

Happy Halloween Listeners and Welcome to the Halloween episode of the Horror Agenda. On today's episode we cover the original Halloween from 1978, a Debra Hill production, cowritten by John Carpenter and Debra Hill and directed by John Carpenter.

Carlos recommends the Dead Space Remake (2023) a sci-fi horror video game about a engineer who has limited tools at his disposal and has to survive and hopefully save his remaining crew and his wife. The film stars Lyrica Okano as Hannah Lee who visits a family friend and then things get interesting.

He also recommends the horror film My Soul to Take (2010) a Wes Craven film about seven children, born when a serial killer disappears, who turn sixteen and start being killed off. He also recommends the band from the trailer and soundtrack Sick Puppies.

Carlos recommends all of Margaret Cho's work obviously. He also recommends a book by Keith Rosson called Fever House. Carlos follows Jason K. Pargin and does not say too much, is enjoying the book so far (not finished at time of publishing).
