We will reference Nightbreed a lot in this episode.  If you haven’t seen it, you should!  Adam Green’s docfauxmentary (?) is a cool “found footage” version of that.  A veritable who’s who of horror show up in this film as well as the scene stealing Ray Wise not as Ray Wise but also as Ray Wise…  We have a ton of sweet references, here are a few:

‘Round here at the ol’ podcast, we think Bryan Bertino’s The Strangers is probably one of the best horror films to come out in recent years.  We’re right serious about that and will argue with anyone that disagrees.  Do it, start the argument with Tyler.  He loves to argue even when he’s wrong!  Mockingbird is Bertino’s second film and has the daunting task of following The Strangers.  Watch Mockingbird (it’s streaming on Netflix now), listen to this episode, and let us know what you think!

I forgot to write down what we referenced this week. Halfway through the episode I thought “Oh that was a good reference I should write that down”.  I saw that I hadn’t written anything else down so I just gave up. Nobody bites when I propose having a film fest revolving around Larry Fessenden called The Larry Festenden…  Nick Damici turns in a stellar performance as a grouchy sonuvabitch in this werewolf flick.  I was also just sitting here wondering, has any werewolf film ever used “Bark At The Moon” in their film or at least in their trailer?  That would be amazing!!
