1. Responsibility is the ability to respond—every man has capacity and power, but maturity is shown in how he uses them to accomplish what must be finished.

1. Participation is not enough—transformation comes through revelation. What you focus on, especially the Word, determines what you become (2 Cor. 3:18).

2. In marriage and in life, your focus is not your spouse but the Word of God. As you look into the Word, you see who you ought to be, and transformation begins.

3. You cannot give what you don’t have. What flows out of you proves what is inside you. God is the source; everything else is a reservoir.

4. God’s original design defines marriage. A man must identify his wife as part of himself. Identification produces love, submission, and a healthy, lasting union.
