The Hot Hits

Drax Project are opening for Robbie Williams in November and one of them has been thinking about it since he was 6 years old watching Top of the Pops. On top of that, they played us two unreleased songs and one of them genuinely made someone in the room cry. This is the most emotional and exciting Drax Project chat you won't want to miss!

Charlotte MacInnes joins Nic and Loren to talk about her debut EP Celestial and why she describes it as "birthing her deepest, darkest secrets" into the world. From growing up in regional WA to landing in London, Charlotte's story is as cinematic as her sound dance pop thumpers sitting right next to baroque, sinister undertones with zero apologies. This is the most intriguing artist chat you won't want to miss!

Hayden James opens up about never once writing a song based on what fans expect from him only finishing tracks he's genuinely in love with, and shelving the rest. It's a surprisingly bold creative philosophy from an artist who's racked up billions of streams, and it hits different when you hear him say it so casually. This is the most honest chat about staying true to yourself you won't want to miss!

Boy Soda stopped by Hot Hits HQ and dropped something we weren't expecting a genuinely profound take on why losing your day job as an artist might actually cost you the very thing that makes your music good. He talks staying "ten toes down in the mud" as success creeps in, and why the ordinary human moments are where all the music actually comes from. This is the most grounded and real chat we've had in a long time.

Mr. Fantasy called in from Los Angeles and casually dropped the news every Australian fan has been waiting for he is coming to our shores, and Nic Kelly may never recover from what was said next. What followed was the most wonderfully unhinged, surprisingly tender conversation about connection, creativity, and why you should never look directly into a studio laser. This is the most chaotically charming episode we've produced this year!

Tove Lo locked herself away in a remote Swedish fishing village with one producer and absolutely zero distractions not even dinner plans to make her most personal record yet. She told Nic and Loren she wants listeners to finish the album feeling understood rather than having any answers, and honestly, we need to lie down. This is the most emotionally gut-punching chat you won't want to miss!
