Zane Lowe took over The Hot Hits in a rare music moment

In one of our favourite chats ever, the legendary Apple Music host opens up about why artists trust him, the philosophy behind his iconic interviews, and what happens when superstars disappear from public view.

Zane talks breaking through the “season of no” with artists like Chappell Roan, why he still seeks out artists when they go quiet, the future of music media in a world of direct-to-fan access, and why he thinks being “undeniably human” matters more than ever.

Plus: Is rock actually dead? (Spoiler: Zane has thoughts.) We get his take on the current anti-establishment wave in music, the artists exciting him right now, and the Australian acts he believes deserve the world.

Also: a chaotic story involving broken glass, blood, and an NME Awards afterparty.

Featuring: Chappell Roan, Beyoncé, Neil Young, Beck, Dave Grohl, Playboi Carti, Silverchair, Boy Soda, Ninajirachi and more.

This one is for the music nerds.
