Surprised

This was a short book but I found it quite entertaining. This book was about life, and family. I was also surprised to find this book was part of a series "the Strong Family". The main two characters were believable, the older woman and younger man. The only things that could have been unbelievable is that a man as young as Kaleb had such strong family values and knew what he wanted out of life. This made the book very refreshing for me. The book stand on its own. You will want to read the others as I did after reading this one to find out about the other wives and what transpired before this story.

The characters could have been more developed but you get the jest of what is going on. The book goes far beyond a woman not allowing a new man in her life after being hurt by her husband after he walks out on her for a younger women.

The book thoroughly entertained me. When I find myself, laughing, worried about what's going to happen next, then the book has served it's purpose. After I finished this book I looked for other books about the Strong family as well as by this author. I found "Give Me Fever" which is the book before this one and the Strong sister story will be out soon. I can't wait. I hope it's on audible. I found the story of the Strong family and the dynamics of family values and moral standards refreshing. This book is not a boring book, just short. It has Sex, and lots of drama. If you are looking to slow down from the hustle of the day this will fit the bill for you.

No, at least not right away.... maybe in a couple of years when I have forgotten a lot of the story.

Would you recommend The Hot Spot to your friends? Why or why not?

This story line supported May-December relationships. It particularly showed strong support for the man to follow his heart. An older woman can be just as hot and attractive as a younger woman.

Which character as performed by Shari Peele was your favorite?

I did not have one favorite... I liked both main characters, Zaria and Kaleb.
