Host David Glass – so intrigued with the subject of gaslighting—Glass took on several experts quite familiar with gaslighting–one of whom was Dr. Mark Goulston. Sadly, Dr. Goulston passed away late December of last year, but his many writings and interviews where he shared his wisdom and insight carry on. And, we’re grateful. Our audience ranked Dr. Goulston’s interview as one of their favorites. What was most remarkable is that Dr. Goulston not only shared advice on how to handle a “gaslighter,” but he told a personal story of his own experience of how he avoided falling victim of one himself.
Expert Dr. Mark Goulston was a former UCLA professor of psychiatry, FBI and police hostage negotiation trainer, nine-time author and a podcast host himself (My Wake Up Call”) who offered our audience members a new perspective on the gaslighting type and brought clarity to the dynamic between a gaslighter and its victim. He also talked about the George Kukor film, “Gaslight,” and asked viewers to watch it for a clearer understanding of the concept. Goulston is sorely missed, but Host Glass is grateful for the insight he shared on the show.

Judah Akers, singer/songwriter of Judah & The Lion, speaks candidly about the five stages of grief and his journey moving through them by writing an album of songs, THE PROCESS, that addresses his sojourn from the dark to the light. Special guest, Sara Jane Ho, author of “Mind Your Manners,” talks etiquette about many breakup “relationship manners” as she speaks her mind–from accepting a gift from your ex (and what to do with it) to how to appropriately communicate you want out of a relationship. She shares many tips with host Glass. To say that she is worldly is no understatement. Sara Jane speaks German, French, Mandarin and Cantonese…and, it’s no surprise that she is also eloquent in English, as well. Sara Jane has lived in New Guinea, the UK, and Hong Kong (eventually moving to the US to attend Phillips Exeter, Georgetown and Harvard Business School) and currently divides her time between Shanghai, Hong Kong, New York, and London. She has appeared in many print publications including The New York Times. She has her own Netflix show and is a regular guest on “The Drew Barrymore Show.“

He takes the audience behind the scenes for a look at what some musical artist breakups are like and the reasons behind them. He also opines on why some bands endure and stay together. David Glass probes. Owen Sloane delivers.

Kevin Cotter, author and businessman who serves as Controller for his now wife’s business GetMomStrong talks about his hilarious approach to getting through the grief of his divorce a number of years ago. Brainstorming with family and friends, Cotter shares, he was able to use “the dress” his former wife left behind to come up with dozens of ways to “repurpose” his ex’s dress. From hammock, to oven mitts, shower curtain, punching bag, pasta strainer, and more…Cotter has Glass laughing throughout this upbeat interview. Cotter shares one of his favorite uses which caused him to write to the dress’ manufacturer to praise them for the durability of their product. Not always tongue in cheek, Cotter admits that the task of “researching” and writing this book was his salvation at a very dark time in his life. Host Glass whole-heartedly applauds Cotter’s efforts.
