A purveyor of fine and diverse house music Georges mix provides some momentum and energy that most of us are missing in our lives at the these days. Although this Friday isn't your average one it doesn't mean you can't get excited and Georges mix tickles all the right places. Today's house-guest is Irishman Hubie Davison. Hubie is a producer who crafts his productions with class and exacting detail and always walks an interesting path as a Dj. Hubie's mix today fits more tracks into 50 minutes that you could imagine possible, yet somehow it doesn't feel cramped. Exploring the genre boundaries of where funk, disco and jazz meet in the club this mix is a wonderful journey into the depths.

A smooth and sultry springtime mix as our latest house-guest ‘Cody Currie’ take the reins. A mix should be a journey, and it’s always a welcome change when that journey is unexpected. Todays mix from Cody is just that, taking influences from jazz, deep house and some very low slung funk. Take that new armchair for a spin on this one, oh and post pictures of all babies made as a result of this mix in the comments section.

Straight up dose of disco medecine today as the pair of scamps that are ‘Boots & Kats’ turn in a joyous mix drippin in tiny mirror tiles. The pair from Dublin have been doing great things in Ireland, like so many others at the moment it seems. It’s really fantastic to see Dublin’s younger artists and promoters grabbing the scene by the scruff of the neck in the face of some pretty archaic licensing laws. Anyway, less talking more toe-tapping.

We're 51 mixes deep in the series now and got we've someone completely new for you. We get a lot of really average demo's and requests to help people promote/release their mixes and music, it seem's pretty relentless sometimes. We try to listen to them all but it can be a bit exhausting and can't help but get a bit polarised to out of the blue contacts with yet more music for your tired ears!

However every now and then it pays off, for both sides, such was the case with this weeks mix from 'The Iron Glove'. He sent it over saying he had made it specifically for us as he likes the series so of course it got a listen. It was one of those 'YES' moments where it just clicked and dusted off the cobwebs of so many dead ends. The mix is fantastic with a track-list that oozes class and a really clever ear for disco. So here it is, ladies and gentlemen, The Iron Glove.

For the 50th in our series of guest mixes we’ve invited ‘Jive Talk’ round the gaf for a jam. The guys, who are London based but met in Bristol have warmed up at a few of our parties, the next ones in two weeks click here for details, and this mix personifies their ‘slow and steady’ approach. Lovely laidback goodness.

Belfast resident and founder of Body Fusion Records Bobby Analog is next to pop in with a mix for our guest mix series. Ahead of his Boiler Room at AVA in a few weeks he's gone all doe eyed on us and chopped together some loved up ballads and classic jams.

D'Arabia, the latest artist to hang his boots at House of Disco and release on the label is also responsible for the latest guest mix. His analogue production sensibilities are evident in this vinyl only selection which slaloms nicely through genres but manages to keep a smile on its face.

Todays guestmix is from our newest housemate Aroop Roy (Yes it's his real name), who's Ep has also just dropped on House of Disco. Aroop's made a name for himself by deftly incorporating diverse musical influences into his productions from afrobeat to techno. His mix for us today charts some of those influences and we certainly end up in some unexpected but welcome places. Tracklist will surface in a week or two........until then, happy guessing.

Next up in our podcast are Dutch duo ‘Soultage’. Having just turned in a stunning remix for us of Snack’s track ‘Burnin’ it seemed only only too fitting to get the guys involved for a mix. Expect lots of burners with a tracklist that full of favourite artists.
