One of the dates that Canadian music fans look forward to every year has come! The Polaris Music Prize announced their 40-album long list of nominees, and we're going to play a few of our favourites. We also had a big concert announcement for this summer for us in Churchill, MB, and we have the radio debut for a song recorded last month by the youth here in Churchill along with Ila Barker, Lana Winterhalt and Boogey The Beat. Plus a dispatch (yes, a dispatch!) from our good pal Aidan Power in Winnipeg.

The Canadian Football League's greatest franchise (ok, I may be biased) kicks-off their season tonight, as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers take to the field! We celebrate that, along with what may be summer's only redeeming quality: Live music. Folks you can hear in Winnipeg and St. John's are on tap. Enjoy, folks!
